The Poem Title Index can be found in the first part of Volume Thirteen. It is a listing of all of the poems found in Volumes 1 to 13 of “The Definitive Collection.”

The poems are listed in alphabetical order.

Where a poem starts with any of the following words, it has been repeated in the Index without the leading word. The words removed are:

A, All, An, As, At, In, Just, My, On, Our, The, To.

It was decided to repeat these titles, without these leading words, as it is believed that we often remember the title of a poem, by its keywords, and not its full name.

Any title found in the Poem Title Index which starts with a lowercase letter, e.g. “a child's eyes” below, is a title where the first word has been removed.

It is hoped that these extra examples of the titles, will assist you in finding the poem that you want.

The spacing between the blocks of titles was based on the different starting letters of each letter of the alphabet. It is hoped that this spacing will assist you to quickly scan the page for your poem.

At the top and bottom corners of each page, there are part-words in the margins, showing you the start of the first and last poems on that page.
