Welcome

This website that has been created to promote a series of books created by Gary Dodd.  The titles of the book are "The Definitive Collection - Volume (1-13)."

These books are finally completed, and now available.

There are 576(*1) poems in 13 volumes, spread over more than 2600 pages.  The last volume contains a 30-page Poem Title Index, and a Subject Index extending over more than 210 pages. It took over eight months to create these books, and they span 15 years of the author's life.

It is hoped that these books will be "jaw-droppers," such that you will not want to put them down until you are finished.  Is such an aim possible?  Only time will tell.

The purpose of these books is to inspire others to reach their full potential.  They are designed to encourage you to look outside the square, to view life, both as a participant and observer.  They will challenge your thinking on a variety of subjects.  They will question how and why you live your life the way you do, and ask how you can improve your life.

As with anything in life, and any book that you pick up, the words in these books are Gary's.  They are his thoughts, his ideas, his questions, and his alternatives.  You  may agree with what is written.  You may also find the ideas totally incompatible with your own thinking.  Either, is okay.  Gary is the first to say that he does not have the first or the last word on anything.  He offers these words as an opportunity for you to look at yourself, your life, and see if you are getting everything that you want in life.

Life is finite.  It has a beginning, an ending, most importantly, a middle.  We all start the same, we all finish the same.  The only difference is the middle.  So, Gary's question to you is, "what are you doing today, to fulfil all of the dreams of your life, with everything that you want and desire?"

Everything and anything is possible.  You are only limited by your imagination, your belief in yourself, and the choices that you make.  So, there you have it, a brief introduction to Gary's books.  Are you interested?  Great! The rest is, up to you!

(Please note:

*1 - Volume 13 indicates that there are 580 poems in this collection. After the book was sent to the printers, it was discovered  that an error had been made in the number of poems in one of the volumes. The true number of poems in this collection is 576. Any misunderstanding caused by this error is sincerely regretted.)

Author's comment

From time to time, I open one of the volumes of this collection, with the aim of reading three of the poems in that volume.  The choice of volume is connected to the day of the month, and a silly mathematical formula for determining which volume to read, after the 12th day of the month.

What I find interesting, is that I frequently read more than three poems.  It is like, I cannot put it down, so in a way, I did achieve my aim of the books being "jaw-droppers".

Of course, my opinion is biased, for I wrote the poems and compiled the books.

Will the same apply to you?  Ah, now that is a question only you can answer.  Interested?

Reader's comment

The Definitive Poetry Collection by Gary displays a delightful insight into interpersonal relationships and life experiences.

The collection is thought provoking and provides a guide to understanding personal space within the universe. Readings Gary’s poetry often encourages a broader perspective which may lead the reader to life changing decisions.

The definitive collection draws the reader into a voyage of self discovery which is a rewarding experience as it allows reflection on personal development.

We would encourage readers to accept the challenge posed by the poems and to be open minded in order to follow where thoughts and life experiences lead you.
